Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing Individual Education Plan (IEP’s) for the student member’s development.
• Assisting the administration with attendance recording, grading and monthly evaluations.
• Assisting with class coverage in absence of another staff, and be available to offer support for students in need of special assistance.
• Accompany student members as assigned in emergency situation.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Teaching Special Education.
• Graduate degree in Teaching Special Education preferred.
• Valid NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Mathematics certification and/or Supervisory certification.
• Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Teaching or in related field.
• Capable of exercising rational judgment to solve operational problems.
• The ability to establish a solid working relationship with student-members and co-workers.

We are experts in providing residential and intensive outpatient services to the community.  We are seeking a Maintenance worker in our Newark location. The staff member must be able to maintain, repair and renovate facilities according to regulatory standards of the organization; maintain proper function of heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing systems and security devices. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records, completing forms and writing detailed reports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency required and a minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance functions.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry required. 
• Effective communications (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills. 
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

PART-TIME FACILITY COORDINATORS
TC II MEN PROGRAM

We are experts in providing residential and intensive outpatient services to the community.  We are seeking a Facility Coordinator in our Newark location. This is an entry level job, with the potential to progress into a position in the counselor job structure.          

Facility Coordinators are responsible for maintaining a safe living environment in the facility through regular head counts, runs of the building and grounds, constant alertness of student member activities, adherence to a daily schedule, and documentation of facility incidents.    

Work shifts available are as follows:                                      

TC II Men’s Program
Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday 10pm – 6 am 

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency required and up to one years’ experience in a human social services environment.

• Customer service or security officer function preferred. 
• Effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and fluency of English language.
• Ability to establish solid working relationships with student members and co-workers, and have the capability to exercise rational judgment in an emergency and have knowledge
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word 
• Knowledge of therapeutic community and a valid NJ driver’s license preferred.

• Provide drug and alcohol treatment service which includes individual and group therapy, education, and case management.
• Maintain and submit reports related to grant/billing requirements.
• Completing assessments and admissions.
• Providing weekly drug screening and documentation of treatment services.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience counseling.
• CADC required.
• LCADC and Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Effective communications (verbal, written and listening) skills
• Demonstrate counseling and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

COUNSELOR INTERN

The incumbent is responsible for providing group an individual case management for student-members with substance abuse and/or behavioral problems in a Therapeutic Community setting. 

 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Up to one years’ experience in a human/social services function preferred.
• Ability to obtain a CADC within three years of hire.
• Basic knowledge of addition, treatment and recovery
• Effective communication, both written and verbal and fluency of English language.
• Proven ability to establish solid working relationships with student-members and co-workers.
• Experience with Microsoft Word
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in performing counselor’s duties. 
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) and a valid driver’s license preferred.
